Om nom nom...

I love both trying new exciting recipes and perfecting the old favourites. I also really like learning to master new tools, some of my favourites are listed below.

Tools:

  • Cast Iron Skillet: These are the best way to make focaccia, the bottom comes out perfectly crispy. I also use them to make Detroit-style pan pizza (which is traditionally rectangular, I know).
  • Outdoor Pizza Oven: I love making pizzas in my Ooni Pro woodfired pizza oven - it’s a bit of work, but the results are unlike any you can make at home otherwise.
  • Wok: I have a cheap carboon steel wok that I use for stir frying - I’m not good at it, but it’s still fun. And seeing the seasoning building up has been extremely satisfying.

Cookbooks:

  • J. Kenji López-Alt: The Food Lab: A nerdy exploration of food.
  • J. Kenji López-Alt: The Wok: A must-have for wok users.
  • Stella Parks: Bravetart: Incredible deserts
  • Priya Krishna: Indian(-ish): Indian cuisine full of heart
